Bot Lot #1

Stop overpaying for HP Instant Ink

How the billing cycle works

Instant Ink bills you once a month for a set number of pages, not ink. Your month runs on a fixed cycle (say the 16th to the 15th). Print more than your plan and you pay for extra pages in small blocks. Print less and unused pages roll over (in the UK, up to 3× your plan).

The bit most people miss: on HP UK, an upgrade applies to the current month and HP re-rates it straight away. A downgrade only starts next month.

The day-before trick

  1. Note your cycle end date. It's on your HP Instant Ink account page.
  2. Log in the day before it ends. Check pages printed this month, plus any rollover.
  3. Over your plan? Upgrade and choose to change it in the current billing cycle. The extra-page charges shrink or vanish.
  4. Usually under? Downgrade for next month and stop paying for pages you don't use.

Worked example

527 pages printed on the 100-page plan:

Cost of 527 pages on each plan
Stay on 100£6.49 + 43 extra blocks × £1.50£70.99
Upgrade to 500£20.99 + 3 extra blocks × £1.50£25.49

Same pages, same month. Upgrading before the cycle closed saved £45.50. Picking the right plan every month is on track to save £250+ a year compared with staying on a plan that's too small.

UK plan prices (as of Oct 2026)
Pages / monthPriceExtra pages
100£6.49£1.50 per 10
300£13.49£1.50 per 10
500£20.99£1.50 per 10
700£28.99£1.50 per 15
1500£55.99£1.50 per 15

Smaller plans exist too. Prices change, so always check HP's own site.

Let Tab do it every month

Remembering to log in on the right day, every month, is the hard part. Tab is a personal assistant you text, like a friend who's good with computers. It has its own browser, so it can log in to HP for you, check your pages and switch your plan on the right day.

  • You save your HP login through a secure link Tab sends you. Never by text.
  • It only messages you when it changes something, and tells you what it saved.
  • Works over iMessage or WhatsApp.

Your HP Instant Ink prompt

Please look after my HP Instant Ink plan. First, send me a secure link to save my HP login (I won't text you my password). Every month, the day before my billing cycle ends, check pages printed this cycle, my rollover and my last few months, and switch me to whichever plan makes this cycle cheapest. On HP UK an upgrade re-rates the current cycle straight away; a downgrade starts next cycle. So upgrade if I'm going over, downgrade if I'm consistently under. Check HP's current prices on the page first. Only message me when you change something: what changed and what it saved. Start every message with 'HP Instant Ink:' on its own line.

The rest of the lot

The Bot Lot

The Bot Lot is a free collection of copy-paste prompts for Tab, the personal assistant you text on iMessage or WhatsApp. Each one sets up a money-saving job that runs in the background: energy, EV charging and car security, subscriptions, Amazon, Tesco, bills, receipts, mileage, birthdays and restaurant deals.

More money-savers your Tab can run for you. Each one runs for real today. Want the lot? One button copies a single prompt that sets up everything that applies to you.

🤖 Copy the whole Bot Lot

HP Instant Ink plus everything below, in one prompt. Your Tab asks which ones apply to you and sends secure links for any logins it needs.

Read the full prompt first

Please set me up with the Bot Lot: a set of money-savers you run for me in the background. Go through the list below and set up each one that applies to me. Ask me in one go which ones apply (and fill in the details marked [ ]), and send me secure links for any logins or accounts you need. I'll never text you a password. 1. HP Instant Ink (if I have it): every month, the day before my billing cycle ends, log in, check pages printed this cycle, rollover and my last few months, and switch to whichever plan makes this cycle cheapest. On HP UK an upgrade applies to the current cycle (re-rated straight away) and a downgrade starts next cycle. Check HP's current prices on the page first. 2. Octopus Saving Sessions (if I'm with Octopus Energy): watch my email for Saving Session / Power Down invitations, opt me in as soon as one arrives, and tell me the time slot. 3. Octopus Agile (if I'm on Agile): each afternoon when tomorrow's prices are out, tell me when any negative pricing starts and stops. 4. EV charging (if I have an electric car I charge at home): when my car parks at home, use its real battery % to send tonight's cheapest plan to be full by 7am (start time, hours, estimated cost) for my tariff. If my car doesn't report its location or plug status, check at a set time each evening instead. 5. Subscriptions: go through the last 12 months of my email, list every recurring payment, flag forgotten ones, price rises and duplicates, and keep watching for new ones. 6. Energy bills: whenever a new energy bill arrives, check the readings, rates, standing charges and estimates against my tariff and tell me if I've been overcharged. 7. Receipts (if I'm self-employed): when a receipt or invoice arrives, ask me 'business or personal?' and file the business ones into my accounting software with the receipt attached. 8. Mileage (if I'm self-employed and drive for work): every evening, log my business journeys from [my car app or tracker / my calendar / a quick text from me], work out the claim at HMRC's simplified mileage rates, keep a running tax-year total, and add it to my accounting app. Ask me if a trip looks personal. 9. Birthdays: remember the birthdays I give you ([names and dates]). A week before each, remind me and offer one thing you can do (book a table, order flowers or a gift, or send a card) so it arrives in time. Remind me again on the day. 10. Restaurant deals (if I eat out and I'm happy to book through TheFork): ask me my [town or postcode], how far I'll travel, cuisines I like or avoid, budget per head and usual nights. Then every morning read TheFork's public deal and TheFork Festival pages for my area (no login needed) and message me only when something changed: a new offer, a bigger discount, a Festival offer at a place rated 9+, or one about to end. Best deal first, with the booking link. Never book without my yes. 11. Octoplus wheel spins (if I'm with Octopus Energy and on Octoplus): spin all my available Wheel of Fortune spins now, then on the 1st of each month at 9am. Only tell me about prizes bigger than the usual few Octopoints, or if a run fails. Never sign me up to anything or change my tariff. 12. Heat pump check (if I heat my home with gas): when I send you my gas bills, work out what the same heat would have cost from an air-source heat pump at today's electricity prices, only over the dates the bills cover. Never scale part of a year up, and say plainly when it's a part-year figure. Never sign me up to anything or change my tariff. 13. Amazon Subscribe & Save (if I use it): before each delivery's last edit day, compare each item's Subscribe & Save price with the normal one-off price, and tell me if merging deliveries or pulling 1–2 items forward would reach 5+ items for the bigger discount, with the £ saving. Ask me keep or skip; change nothing without my yes. 14. Amazon Prime (if I pay for it): once a month, roughly total what Prime saved me this membership year against the fee, and point me to up to two perks from Amazon's current UK benefits list that I don't seem to use, with one practical tip each. Never sign me up for anything. 15. Amazon price drops: watch my basket, Saved for later and wishlists, keep your own price record, and message me only on a real drop (well below the usual recent price, not a 'was' or RRP price), with the link. Never buy without my yes. 16. Amazon Resale bargains: check my basket, wishlists and Subscribe & Save items for an Amazon Resale (formerly Warehouse) offer that is Like New or Very Good, sold by Amazon and at least 15% below the new price, and tell me with the link. Never buy without my yes. 17. Plug-in nudge (EV): at about 9pm, if the car is home, under 50% and not plugged in, nudge me once. 18. Overnight car watch (EV): every 20 minutes from 10pm to 6am, read the car's reported location, alarm and ignition (cloud reads only, never wake it) and alert me once if it moves over about 100m, the alarm goes off or it's switched on. 19. EV battery health: monthly, log the battery state-of-health figure if my car reports one and tell me only when it changes. 20. Tesco Clubcard Prices (if I have a Clubcard): every Wednesday, send my personalised Clubcard Prices, biggest saving first, with the total and end date. Read only. 21. Mileage cross-check (if I claim mileage): nightly, log the odometer and flag any day where distance driven and miles claimed are more than 10% apart. Change nothing without my yes. 22. Log copies: nightly, copy the logs you keep for me to a 'Tab Logs' folder in my cloud storage, uploading only what changed. Never delete anything. Bot names: each bot starts every message with its own name and a colon on its own line, so I know which one is talking: 1 'HP Instant Ink:', 2 'Octopus Saving Sessions:', 3 'Octopus Agile negative prices:', 4 'Cheapo Charge Chimp:', 5 'Forgotten subscriptions:', 6 'Energy bill check:', 7 'Receipts into your accounts:', 8 'Mileage Logger:', 9 'Birthday Nudge:', 10 'TheFork Deal Watcher:', 11 'OctoSpinner:', 12 'HeatFlip:', 13 'Skip Sniffer:', 14 'Prime Pulse:', 15 'Pounce Pal:', 16 'Warehouse Weasel:', 17 'Plugzilla:', 18 'Nightwatch Ned:', 19 'Dr Battery:', 20 'ClubcardCatcher:', 21 'Mile Snitch:', 22 'Log Hog:'. Car bots (4, 17–19, 21): connect my car's app or account (e.g. MyVauxhall, Peugeot, Citroën, Kia Connect, Hyundai Bluelink, Tesla, VW We Connect, Ford, BMW, Renault, MG iSMART) or an OBD/ABRP feed, use only the fields it reports, and never send the car a command. Ground rules: never buy anything, cancel anything or contact anyone on my behalf without asking me first (opting me in to a saving session or spinning my Octoplus wheel is fine). Only message me when something changes, needs me, or saves me money, and tell me how much.

Octopus Saving Sessions

Get paid to use less power at peak times, without ever missing a sign-up email.

I'm an Octopus Energy customer. Watch my email for Octopus Saving Session / Power Down invitations and opt me in automatically as soon as one arrives (I'll connect my email when you send the link). Then text me the date and time so I can switch things off, and tell me afterwards what I earned. Start every message with 'Octopus Saving Sessions:' on its own line.

Octopus Agile negative prices

Know the moment electricity costs less than nothing, so you can run the big stuff then.

I'm on Octopus Agile, region [your region letter, or just my postcode: ____]. Every afternoon when tomorrow's prices come out, check for any half-hours below 0p/kWh. Text me when negative pricing starts and when it stops, with the lowest price. Stay quiet on days with none. Start every message with 'Octopus Agile negative prices:' on its own line.

OctoSpinner

Free Octopoints you'd otherwise forget. Your Tab spins your Octoplus wheel on the 1st of every month.

I'm an Octopus Energy customer. Octoplus members get a free Wheel of Fortune spin per fuel every month, and I always forget mine. First, send me a secure link to save my Octopus login (I won't text you my password). Then check I'm on Octoplus; if I'm not, tell me and stop. Spin all my available spins now, then set a monthly run for the 1st at 9am to spin every spin I have. Only message me if a prize is bigger than the usual few Octopoints, or if a run fails. Never sign me up to anything or change my tariff. Start every message with 'OctoSpinner:' on its own line.

One example month: 2 spins won 8 + 8 Octopoints (800 points = £1). Small, but free.

Cheapo Charge Chimp

Tonight's cheapest charging plan, the moment you park at home (or at a set time each evening).

I charge my EV at home. Car: [make/model, battery]; charger: [kW]; tariff: [e.g. Octopus Agile or off-peak times]. Connect my car's app with a secure login link (e.g. MyVauxhall, Peugeot, Citroën, Kia Connect, Hyundai Bluelink, Tesla, VW We Connect, Ford, BMW, Renault, MG iSMART), or an OBD/ABRP feed. If it reports location and plug status, check every 15 minutes for it parking at home (or I'll text 'home'); if not, check nightly at [8pm]. Once a day, use its real battery % to send tonight's cheapest plan to be full by 7am: start time, hours, estimated cost. Add 'not plugged in yet' if reported. Never send the car commands. Start every message with 'Cheapo Charge Chimp:' on its own line.

Uses your car's real battery %. Cars that don't report location or plug status get the evening check instead. Costs are estimates from your tariff's prices.

Plugzilla

One nudge at 9pm if your EV is home, low and not plugged in.

Nudge me when I forget to plug in my EV. Connect my car's app or account with a secure login link (e.g. MyVauxhall, Peugeot, Citroën, Kia Connect, Hyundai Bluelink, Tesla, VW We Connect, Ford, BMW, Renault, MG iSMART), or an OBD/ABRP feed. At about 9pm each evening, read the car's last report: is it at home [my postcode], under 50% and not plugged in? If so, send one short nudge with its battery % and range, at most once an evening. Stay quiet otherwise, or if the reading is too old to trust. If my car doesn't report plug status, tell me once. Never send the car a command. Start every message with 'Plugzilla:' on its own line.

Nightwatch Ned

An overnight eye on your parked EV: one alert if it moves, the alarm goes off or it's switched on.

Watch my EV overnight. Connect my car's app or account with a secure login link (e.g. MyVauxhall, Peugeot, Citroën, Kia Connect, Hyundai Bluelink, Tesla, VW We Connect, Ford, BMW, Renault, MG iSMART), or an OBD/ABRP feed. Every 20 minutes, 10pm to 6am, read its last reported location, plus alarm and ignition where my car reports them. Cloud reads only: never wake the car or send it commands (it drains the 12V). Note where it's parked. Alert me once, straight away, if it moves over about 100m, the alarm triggers or the ignition comes on. If I say it wasn't me, send its last position and say call 999 or 101. Start every message with 'Nightwatch Ned:' on its own line.

Dr Battery

Logs your EV battery's health every month and only speaks up when it changes.

Track my EV battery's health. Connect my car's app or account with a secure login link (e.g. MyVauxhall, Peugeot, Citroën, Kia Connect, Hyundai Bluelink, Tesla, VW We Connect, Ford, BMW, Renault, MG iSMART), or an OBD/ABRP feed. On the 1st of each month, read the battery state-of-health (SoH) figure if my car reports one, and usable capacity if shown; keep a dated log. Only message me when it changes: the change since last month and since the first reading. Small winter dips can be seasonal, so say so. If my car doesn't report SoH, tell me once and suggest another way, like an OBD dongle. Never send the car commands. Start every message with 'Dr Battery:' on its own line.

HeatFlip

Would a heat pump cost less than gas? Send your gas bills and see, over exactly the months they cover.

Would a heat pump be cheaper than my gas boiler? I'll send my gas bills (photos or PDFs; ideally 12 months, but use what I have). From each, read the dates, kWh, unit rate and standing charge. Work out what the same heat would have cost from an air-source heat pump at today's electricity prices (price cap and a heat-pump tariff like Cosy Octopus), only over the dates my bills cover. Never scale part of a year up; say when it's a part-year figure. Show it with and without the gas standing charge, list assumptions and mention the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme. Never sign me up or change my tariff. Start every message with 'HeatFlip:' on its own line.

One bill gives you that bill's dates only, never a guessed year. Send 12 months of bills for a full-year answer. Install cost not included.

Forgotten subscriptions

Find the recurring payments you forgot you were paying for.

Go through my email for the last 12 months and list every recurring payment and subscription: what it is, how much, how often, and when it last charged. Flag anything I might have forgotten, any price rises and any duplicates. Then help me cancel the ones I pick, and keep an eye out for new ones each month. Start every message with 'Forgotten subscriptions:' on its own line.

Skip Sniffer

Sniffs out when buying normally beats your Subscribe & Save price, and when bundling a delivery unlocks the bigger discount.

I use Amazon UK Subscribe & Save. First, send me a secure link to save my Amazon login (I won't text you my password). Before each delivery's last edit day, compare every item's Subscribe & Save price with today's normal one-off price for the same product. Count the items in that delivery. If merging it with my next delivery, or pulling 1–2 items forward, would reach 5+ items for the bigger discount, show me the discount and the £ saving. Send me one message: one line per item, any bundling tip, then 'keep all, or skip any?'. Never skip, cancel, move or buy anything until I say yes. Start every message with 'Skip Sniffer:' on its own line.

Amazon sets the discounts (the bigger one for 5+ items only covers eligible items) and can change them, so your Tab reads what your own delivery page shows. Amazon may text you a sign-in code to pass on.

Prime Pulse

Is Prime paying its way? A rough tally of what it saved you this year, plus the perks you pay for but don't use.

I pay for Amazon Prime UK. First, send me a secure link to save my Amazon login (I won't text you my password). Once a month, roughly total what Prime saved me this membership year (delivery charges I'd otherwise have paid, plus any Prime-only deal savings shown) against my fee. Then read Amazon's current UK Prime benefits page and check which perks I don't seem to use (such as Prime Video, Amazon Music Prime, Prime Reading, Amazon Photos, Amazon Luna or Deliveroo Plus Silver). Give me one practical tip for up to two of them. Never sign me up, claim, cancel or change anything without my yes. Start every message with 'Prime Pulse:' on its own line.

The savings figure is a rough estimate, not Amazon's own number. Perks listed on amazon.co.uk in October 2026; Amazon changes them, so your Tab reads the current list each time.

Pounce Pal

One ping when something in your basket or wishlist really drops in price. Not a fake 'was' price.

Watch my Amazon UK basket, Saved for later items and wishlists. First, send me a secure link to save my Amazon login (I won't text you my password), or I'll send you a public wishlist link instead. Check prices every morning and keep your own record of each item's price. Only message me on a REAL drop: well below the item's usual price over recent weeks (use a price-history site like camelcamelcamel where it has the item), never judged against Amazon's 'was' or RRP price. One short message: item, price now vs usual, and the link. Stay quiet otherwise. Never buy anything without my yes. Start every message with 'Pounce Pal:' on its own line.

A newly watched item has no history yet, so the first few weeks lean on price-history sites where they cover it. Deal prices can vanish within hours.

Warehouse Weasel

Spots Amazon Resale (formerly Amazon Warehouse) bargains on things you already want. Like New or Very Good only.

Watch my Amazon UK basket, Saved for later items, wishlists and Subscribe & Save items. First, send me a secure link to save my Amazon login (I won't text you my password). Every morning, check each item for an Amazon Resale (formerly Amazon Warehouse) offer. Only message me when one is Like New or Very Good, sold by Amazon itself, and at least 15% below the item's current new price. One short message: item, condition, Resale price vs new price, and the link. Don't repeat an offer unless it gets cheaper. Stay quiet otherwise. Read only: never add, remove or buy anything without my yes. Start every message with 'Warehouse Weasel:' on its own line.

Resale stock is returned or open-box. The condition grades and returns terms are Amazon's own, so read the listing's condition notes before you say yes. Offers can sell out within hours.

ClubcardCatcher

Your personalised Tesco Clubcard Prices each week, biggest saving first.

I have a Tesco Clubcard. First, send me a secure link to save my Tesco login (I won't text you my password). Check that 'Your Clubcard Prices' (Tesco's free personalised weekly prices) is unlocked; if it isn't, ask me before unlocking it. Every Wednesday morning, when the new week's offers start, read my personalised Clubcard Prices: item, usual price, Clubcard price, saving and valid-to date. Send me one message, biggest saving first, with the total if I bought them all and the end date. Stay quiet if nothing changed since last week. Read only: never opt me in, change settings, spend vouchers or buy anything. Start every message with 'ClubcardCatcher:' on its own line.

Energy bill check

Spot billing mistakes: wrong readings, estimated bills, back-billing.

Check my latest energy bill. I'll send you a photo or the PDF. Compare the meter readings, unit rates, standing charges and any estimated reads against my tariff, and tell me in plain English whether I've been overcharged, by roughly how much, and exactly what to say to my supplier. Start every message with 'Energy bill check:' on its own line.

Or try Bill Lens, a free bill checker →

Receipts into your accounts

Self-employed? Stop digging for receipts at tax time.

Watch my inbox for receipts and invoices. When one arrives, ask me 'business or personal?'. File the business ones into my accounting software ([FreeAgent / Xero / QuickBooks]) with the receipt attached and the right category, and check for duplicates first. Ignore the personal ones. Start every message with 'Receipts into your accounts:' on its own line.

Mileage Logger

Self-employed and driving for work? Every business mile logged and claimed, without a notebook in the glovebox.

I'm self-employed and use my own vehicle for work. Every evening, log today's business journeys from [my car app or tracker / my calendar / a quick text from me], work out the claim at HMRC's simplified mileage rates, and keep a running total for the tax year. Add the claims to my accounting app ([FreeAgent / Xero / QuickBooks]) each night, checking for duplicates first. If a trip looks personal, ask me before logging it. Start every message with 'Mileage Logger:' on its own line.

Mile Snitch

Checks the business miles you claim against your car's own odometer.

I claim business mileage in [FreeAgent / Xero / QuickBooks / a mileage log]. Connect my car's app or account with a secure login link (e.g. MyVauxhall, Peugeot, Citroën, Kia Connect, Hyundai Bluelink, Tesla, VW We Connect, Ford, BMW, Renault, MG iSMART), or an OBD/ABRP feed. Every night, log the car's odometer. Compare each day's distance driven with the business miles claimed that day. If they're more than 10% apart, tell me the day and both figures and offer to work out why (personal trips show up too, so ask, don't assume). Never change a claim or my accounts without my yes. Start every message with 'Mile Snitch:' on its own line.

Log Hog

A nightly copy of the logs your Tab keeps, in a 'Tab Logs' folder in your own cloud storage.

Keep a copy of the logs you keep for me (mileage, odometer, battery health, profit and loss and so on) in my own cloud storage. Help me connect [OneDrive / Google Drive / Dropbox] and make a folder called 'Tab Logs'. Every night after your other routines have run, upload each log that changed since last time, overwriting the old copy in place. Never delete, move or rename anything in my storage, and never copy files holding passwords, tokens or cookies. Send me the folder link once at the start. After that, only message me if uploads fail three nights running. Start every message with 'Log Hog:' on its own line.

Birthday Nudge

Never miss the birthdays that matter. A heads-up a week out, with the present already sorted if you want it.

Remember these birthdays for me: [names and dates]. A week before each one, remind me and offer ONE thing you can do so it lands in time: book a table, order flowers or a gift for delivery, or send a card. Don't buy or book anything until I say yes. Then give me a gentle reminder on the day. Start every message with 'Birthday Nudge:' on its own line.

TheFork Deal Watcher

Up to half off restaurant food near you, without checking the app. One message when a new or bigger deal lands, silence otherwise.

First ask me (then remember): town or postcode, how far I'll travel, cuisines I love or avoid, budget per head, usual nights out, and whether I have a TheFork account (only needed to book). Every morning at 9am: - Read TheFork's public "/deals" and "TheFork Festival" pages for my area. No login needed. - Note each offer, rating, average price and discounted slots. - Compare with yesterday. Message me ONLY when something changed: a new or bigger offer, a Festival offer rated 9+, or one ending soon. Best deal first, with the booking link. - Monthly, remind me when my Yums expire. - Never book without my yes. - Start every message with 'TheFork Deal Watcher:' on its own line.

For couriers

CX courier bots

Five bots for same-day couriers on Courier Exchange, each tuned for one job. They all read the shared CX Playbook first (what's winning, kept up to date by Tab), then your own My rules, and your rules always win.

One settings page runs all five: sign-in and sign-out times, a week diary, your rates, scoring, auto-quote levels and an on/off switch per bot.

Board Hawk

Board watcher: spots new CX jobs that beat your floor, scored 1–5.

I drive for Courier Exchange (CX). Each run, read the CX Playbook (https://botlot.sites.tab.bot/cx-playbook.txt), then My rules (my rules link, fresh, or my pasted block); My rules always override the playbook. If Board Hawk is OFF there, stay silent. Handle Sign In, Sign Out, Feedback and report-backs as My rules say. Using my saved CX login (send a secure login link; never ask for passwords), check the board every 20 minutes while I'm on shift. Pick new loads fitting my van, range mode, diary, areas, home-by and floor. Score each 1–5 with est. energy £ and net £/loaded mi. Auto-quote only at my ticked levels, never while paused; otherwise ask "quote?". Start every message with 'Board Hawk:' on its own line.

Reads the board for you; an auto-quote is a real offer, and the job is only yours if the poster accepts it.

Bid Badger

Quote pricer: what to bid, and what is actually winning.

I drive for Courier Exchange (CX). Each run, read the CX Playbook (https://botlot.sites.tab.bot/cx-playbook.txt), then My rules (my rules link, fresh, or my pasted block); My rules always override the playbook. If Bid Badger is OFF there, stay silent. Handle Sign In, Sign Out, Feedback and report-backs as My rules say. For any load from Board Hawk or me, suggest a quote in my score sweet spot, never below my floor or minimum, energy and charge stops priced in, with a one-line reason. Log every quote and result to my outcomes link. Each Monday, send my win rate by £ per mile and one change to try. Start every message with 'Bid Badger:' on its own line.

Suggests prices from your own wins and losses plus the playbook; CX doesn't show what loads sold for, so it's always an estimate.

Backload Boomerang

Backload finder: pairs your out-job with a paying ride home.

I drive for Courier Exchange (CX). Each run, read the CX Playbook (https://botlot.sites.tab.bot/cx-playbook.txt), then My rules (my rules link, fresh, or my pasted block); My rules always override the playbook. If Backload Boomerang is OFF there, stay silent. Handle Sign In, Sign Out, Feedback and report-backs as My rules say. When a job books, or I ask, find a backload from near the drop towards home that collects after I'm free and fits my range mode, diary, home-by and floor. Favour my backload areas; on overnight days, find next-morning jobs home. Send the best one or two with est. energy £ and net £/loaded mi; ask "quote?" unless auto-quote applies. Start every message with 'Backload Boomerang:' on its own line.

Backloads come and go fast; a match it finds can be gone by the time you quote.

Day Juggler

Day planner: Flex or CX, charge stops, and a home-by time you can trust.

I drive for Courier Exchange (CX). Each run, read the CX Playbook (https://botlot.sites.tab.bot/cx-playbook.txt), then My rules (my rules link, fresh, or my pasted block); My rules always override the playbook. If Day Juggler is OFF there, stay silent. Handle Sign In, Sign Out, Feedback and report-backs as My rules say. Each working evening, plan tomorrow from my diary, shift times and range mode: Flex block or CX job, which pays more after empty miles and energy, where to charge, when to leave, my home ETA. Before each Flex block's cancel deadline, say GO or CANCEL. Never cancel or book anything without my yes. Start every message with 'Day Juggler:' on its own line.

Plans with your van's real range and your own times; traffic and charger queues can still upset a plan.

Paperwork Penguin

Paperwork: invoices, PODs and payment chasing, done every evening.

I drive for Courier Exchange (CX). Each run, read the CX Playbook (https://botlot.sites.tab.bot/cx-playbook.txt), then My rules (my rules link, fresh, or my pasted block); My rules always override the playbook. If Paperwork Penguin is OFF there, stay silent. Handle Sign In, Sign Out, Feedback and report-backs as My rules say. Each working evening, check my delivered CX bookings. Submit each invoice at exactly the agreed price once the proof of delivery is up; if a POD is missing or a price differs, ask me first. Tell me when a payment is late or paid. Draft polite chasers, but send nothing to a poster without my yes. Start every message with 'Paperwork Penguin:' on its own line.

Only invoices at the price you agreed on CX; anything unclear comes back to you first.

The Bot Lot is a free collection of copy-paste prompts for Tab, a personal assistant you text on iMessage or WhatsApp. Each prompt sets your Tab up to run a money-saving job for you, from right-sizing your HP Instant Ink plan to watching for Octopus Saving Sessions and restaurant deals.

Does an HP Instant Ink upgrade apply to the current month?

On HP UK, yes. An upgrade applies to the current billing cycle and HP re-rates it straight away, while a downgrade only starts next cycle. So if you're over your pages, upgrading the day before your cycle ends can shrink or remove the extra-page charges.

Do I have to text Tab my passwords?

No. When a job needs a login, Tab sends you a secure link to save it. Your password never goes by text.

How do I use a Bot Lot prompt?

Tap Copy prompt, paste it into your chat with Tab and send it. Tab asks for anything it needs to set the job up, then runs it for you and tells you what it changed or saved.

The honest small print: the HP tips are based on how HP UK's Instant Ink worked as of October 2026. HP can change its plans, prices and rules at any time, so check what your account shows before you confirm a change. HeatFlip figures are estimates from your own bills, not a quote. Prime Pulse savings are rough estimates, and Amazon's prices, discounts and Prime perks change, so your Tab checks the live pages each time. Warehouse Weasel only flags offers; Amazon Resale stock, grades and returns terms are Amazon's. ClubcardCatcher only reads your offers; Tesco sets them and changes them weekly. The car bots (Cheapo Charge Chimp, Plugzilla, Nightwatch Ned, Dr Battery, Mile Snitch) can only use what your car's app or feed reports, and not every car reports every field: battery health (SoH) and alarm status are often missing, and some cars don't share plug status, location or odometer. They read the maker's cloud copy and never wake the car, so readings can lag. Nightwatch Ned is a heads-up, not a tracker or alarm service, and can miss a theft if the car stops reporting. Log Hog copies files; it never deletes them. Not affiliated with HP, Octopus Energy, TheFork, Amazon, Tesco or any car maker. The CX courier bots work only through your own Courier Exchange login; an auto-quote is a real offer that the poster may accept, and CX Playbook figures are estimates from about two weeks of one courier's searches. Not affiliated with Courier Exchange either.
