π€ The 5 bots
- π¦ Board Hawk (board watcher): checks the CX board in your working hours and scores new jobs 1β5. Prompt
- 𦑠Bid Badger (quote pricer): suggests what to bid and tracks what wins. Prompt
- πͺ Backload Boomerang (backload finder): finds a paying job home after a drop. Prompt
- π€Ή Day Juggler (day planner): Flex or CX, charge stops, leave time and home ETA. Prompt
- π§ Paperwork Penguin (paperwork): invoices, PODs and late payments. Prompt
Each one is a prompt you send to your own Tab. Use one, some or all. Switch any of them off in settings and it goes quiet.
π Getting started
- Open CX settings. Tap Create my settings, or open the private link you were given.
- Bookmark the private link. It's your key. No account, no password.
- Type your home postcode. Copy it from your CX profile. All miles and home-by times start there.
- Set sign-in and sign-out times for each day. Sign-out means "home by".
- Pick a range mode per day: Stay local (within a radius), Free range (anywhere, home by sign-out) or Can overnight.
- Set your rates: target and floor per loaded mile, minimum job, van range.
- It saves by itself. Watch for Saved β at the bottom.
- Copy a bot's prompt from its page and send it to your Tab. Then give your Tab your My rules (see below).
π― Scoring and the sweet spot
Every job gets a score from 1 to 5. Price matters most: what you'd earn per loaded mile.
- Β£1.20β1.30 per loaded mile is the default sweet spot. That's where jobs were actually won (est.).
- Β£1.10β1.20 or Β£1.30β1.40 can score 4.
- Above Β£1.40 scores 3 at most: likely to lose (est.).
- Below Β£1.00 is dropped.
A 5 also needs good payment terms, time to spare before home-by, good poster feedback and a clear win over your fallback work (like a Flex block). Poor feedback or 45-day terms pull the score down.
Short jobs (under 40 loaded miles) are judged on the job price against your minimum, not per mile.
Every number is editable in settings. Reset to defaults puts them back.
β Auto-quotes and the pause switch
On CX you send a quote and the poster confirms the booking. So bots can only auto-quote; the job is yours only if the poster accepts.
- Tick a score level (say 4 and 5) and Board Hawk quotes those for you.
- Unticked levels come to you as "quote?". Reply yes and it quotes straight away.
- Max a day limits each level; the overall max limits the lot.
- The big βΈοΈ Pause all auto-quotes switch at the top beats every tick. Use it on days off, or when you're busy.
- Bots never auto-quote a job that clashes with a booked job, a Flex block or a day off.
π Areas and backloads home
List the places you like working: outcodes (B, OX), regions or towns, with a radius if you want.
- Prefer adds a small bonus (+0.5) to a job's score.
- Avoid takes 1 off, or blocks the job if you tick "Avoid blocks".
- Tick Backloads into home for areas you like a job home from.
π Energy costs
Bots work out the electricity for every job. The charge you leave home with is priced at your home rate. Only the miles that need a public charge stop use the en-route rate.
Example (est.): home 18p/kWh is about 6p a mile; en route 77p/kWh is about 27p a mile. So keep the day inside one charge when you can. A job that forces a charge stop loses half a point.
Turn on Auto-update from my actual charging costs and your Tab logs your charges. Once 3 or more are logged in 30 days, the rate becomes their average.
Every suggested job shows est. energy Β£ and net Β£ per loaded mile after energy.
π The diary
Add Flex blocks, booked jobs and days off. Bots won't offer anything that clashes. Tap β βΆ to move between weeks; tap Edit or β on an entry to change it. A day off can run over several days.
π The outcomes log
Every quote and what happened: won, lost, withdrawn, pending. Your Tab can log these for you. The table shows your win rate by price per mile, so you can see where you win.
If you tick "share my anonymous counts", your won and lost numbers (nothing else) feed the shared playbook.
π My rules in your Tab
The settings page writes a My rules block. Tap Copy My rules and send it to your Tab once.
Better still, send your Tab the read-only rules link from "Your links". It always has your newest settings, so changes reach your bots straight away.
π The shared playbook
The CX Playbook is what we've learned about winning CX work. Tab keeps it up to date. Every bot reads it first, then your My rules. Your rules always win.
Its figures come from about two weeks of one courier's searches, so every Β£ is an estimate.
π Your own settings link
Every courier gets their own settings. Open CX settings and tap Get my own settings link. You get a fresh page with the defaults and a private link. Your Tab reads yours, nobody else's.
π FAQ
Do bots book jobs on their own?
No. They can send a quote at the levels you tick. The poster decides whether to book you.
Is my CX password safe?
Your Tab sends you a secure link to save your login. Never text a password.
I lost my private link.
Ask your Tab for it if you gave it the link, or create new settings and copy your rules across.
Can someone else see my settings?
Only people with your links. The edit link can change things; the read-only links can't.
How do I stop everything for a week?
Add the days off to your diary and flip the pause switch. Or switch the bots off one by one.
Why does a pricier quote score lower?
Because quotes above about Β£1.40 a loaded mile mostly lost (est.). You can change the line in Scoring.
What gets sent home?
Feedback, quote outcomes and lessons, with no names, phone numbers, emails or addresses, and postcodes cut to the first half (like GL51). It goes to the BotLot team to improve the playbook.
Does it work without a Tab?
The settings page works on its own, but the bots are prompts for Tab.
